About the Journal

Institutum Iurisprudentiae, Academia Sinica (IIAS) was established on July 1, 2004. Since then, IIAS has followed its Founding Proposal and devoted itself to developing research and publications in its six core research fields – “Constitutional Structure and Human Rights Protection,” “Administrative Regulations and Judicial Remedies,” “Law, Science and Technology,” “Legal Thought and Social Change,” “Law Development in China, Hong Kong, and Macau,” and “Judiciary System, Judicial Behavior, and Legislative Studies.”

In order to provide a venue for increased academic dialogue, IIAS launched “Academia Sinica Law Journal” in 2007. Bearing the principles of “balancing localization and globalization” and “combining theory and practice” in mind, the Journal is striving to open new a page in Taiwan’s legal research with its highest publication standards.
