Constitutionalism in Crisis / Democracy in Action?: Why Only Japan Is Quiet When the World Goes Crazy
Introduction:
From a constitutional perspective, the world goes crazy indeed. Constitutional turmoils are everywhere, and they are still growing on a global scale. But, only Japan is quiet. The politics in Japan goes weaker but seemingly not so crazy. Does that mean there is no crisis of constitutionalism in this far eastern country? My reply is no. There might be a different type of constitutional crisis.

Topic:
Neurotech and the Two Views of Human Being: How Should "Neurolaw" Prepare for the Tech-Challenges
Introduction:
Elon Musk's Neuralink has developed a technology to measure more accurate brain information by implanting a small chip inside the brain. Neurotech has been introduced into the medical field and distributed in the market as a product. In recent years, a number of reports and recommendations aimed at regulating and promoting neurotech have been published by international organizations like OECD, UNICEF, and UN, etc. This lecture will provide the basic perspectives that the new field of legal study, "neurolaw," may need in order to face this topic in the future. Before questioning the merits of specific ideas or proposals of neurorights, I would like to consider the transformation of the view of the human being brought about by neurotechnology.
