Research Professor/Associate Research Professor/Assistant Research Professor

Institutum Iurisprudentiae at Academia Sinica, one of the leading institutes of legal research in Taiwan as well as in East Asia, invites applicants for a tenured or tenure-track position (including the rank of research professor, associate research professor, or assistant research professor). The Institute is interested in applicants who specialize in the following fields:

(1) Law, Science, and Technology. (Applicant’s area of expertise should include intellectual property laws.)

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should have a doctoral degree in law or a law-related research topic (or can expect to receive her/his doctorate before July 31, 2018 and have a completed dissertation and/or book chapters prepared for external review.)

APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Interested applicants should submit the following application materials:
(1) Curriculum vitae;
(2) a list of academic publications within the past five years;
(3) a research agenda and a summary of prior research;
(4) up to 3 representative articles, book chapters, or books published within the past five years;
(5) a printed copy of doctoral diploma (applicants who have not received their doctorates yet will need a letter from their school or supervisor affirming that they will receive their degree by July 31, 2018);
(6) applicants who have received their doctorates less than five years ago must also enclose two letters of recommendation and copies of their diplomas and transcripts from their college and graduate programs.

In addition to paper copies to Institutum Iurisprudentiae, applicants should also send the aforementioned documents electronically via e-mail, CD/DVD, or by uploading to a shared space created by the applicant ( i.e. Dropbox, Google drive, etc. ) and sending a direct link to the secretary. Please submit documents (1), (2), and (3) in both Chinese and the applicant’s major working language. If the major working language is Chinese, submit documents in both Chinese and English.
